A few days ago Ryder decided to start his Lego technic build that he got for his birthday. In the past he hasn’t loved technic builds because they are harder than normal builds, but he did this one all by himself and in just a few days! It’s pretty cool!

Crazy Little Duo
Ryder and Luke are the craziest little duo there ever was. They love to plan out their day together which usually includes their obstacle course game downstairs that they play while listening to Spotify, Ga-ga ball on the trampoline, playing catch with the football, and electronic time. They also get in a few chores when I ask them like cleaning legos off the table for dinner and folding their laundry. Today they added in some crafts and made mustaches out of pipe cleaners. They laughed a lot today and it was so good to hear them giggling with each other.

Interception
At Ryder’s football game he caught an interception and ran it almost all the way down for a touchdown! It was so exciting and I was so proud of him. Of course I didn’t get it on video which is a bummer. I need to film the whole time! But I’m glad I was there to see it!

Pictures with My Kids
My kids looked so cute all dressed up for church today so I made them take a picture with me. They hate taking pictures but maybe they’ll appreciate them someday!
It was nice to have a day to relax after the long and crazy day of yesterday. We were all still pretty tired today. Hopefully we’ll have our energy back for tomorrow.

Exploring Helena
We had to split up today due to kids’ sports activities. Brad went to Missoula with Kade for Kade’s soccer games. They won their first game and lost their second so it was a pretty good day!
Ryder and Luke came to Helena with Tenley and me for Tenley’s volleyball team. Her team won two games for the first time ever! They ended up in third place in the gold bracket. It was a good day for them! The boys and I didn’t watch all the games. We left for a little bit to explore Helena. We were lucky it was such a beautiful and sunny day. We found some fun parks, a children’s museum, a carousel and ice cream! We made it home in time for Tenley to go to another church dance!

Busy Fridays
It was so nice to have Brad home today. He had a lot of projects to do but he still found time to tease the kids by chasing them around the yard with a water sprayer. Luke thought for sure he could outrun him but he was wrong. Haha
Ryder had a football game tonight and then a pizza party with friends. Kade and Tenley went to a church dance with friends so Brad, Luke and I got to hang out. Luke helped Brad blow out the sprinklers which Luke loved doing! And it was such beautiful spring weather today which made it so much more amazing!

Kade’s Student Government Video
Kade finished up his team’s student government video today. His class will vote later this week and we will see what happens. He put a lot of work into everything and had a lot of good support from his friends. It’s been fun to see him working hard on a goal!

Robot Hand
Ryder finished up his kiwi co project today. It’s a big hand that he can control. It’s pretty cool! He wants to be a robot for Halloween now and use his big hand as part of the costume.
Luke was playing the piano today with the headphones on and singing along with what he was playing. It was so adorable!

Spring Break
Kade is in spring break for the next few days so we are too. It is so nice to have a day off from school. Most of the kids slept in and when Ryder and Luke did wake up they spent the morning building with Legos. Their Kiwi co builds arrived today as well and Luke got to work in his project as soon as he could.
Kade’s official license came in the mail today! And he and Tenley met up with friends at the movies tonight. It’s been a lonely night without them. It’s still strange to have Kade driving!

Easter Sunday
He is risen! We had a great Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We had breakfast together and we all went to church together which is rare! It was so nice.
I played a duet with my friend and Kade played a piano solo and he did such a great job. Brad had great scriptures and personal messages to share. He shared the quote, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face,” and related it to Easter. It was really good.
We had an egg hunt at home, read scriptures, watched The Lamb of God, and had the most delicious dinner and dessert.

Traveling as a Family
We’ve spent the past several weekends splitting up between Kade and Tenley’s sporting events but Tenley didn’t have a game today so we all traveled to Helena together to cheer Kade on at his soccer games! It was so nice to be together! And Tenley, Ryder, and Luke had several friends to play with so it made it so much more fun. And, of course, we took them out to Pizza Ranch for dinner since it’s their favorite restaurant.

Minecraft
Ryder really wanted to go to the movies for his birthday but there wasn’t a good movie out at the time so we gave him a gift card to the movies instead. He finally cashed in on it today! He wanted to go see the Minecraft movie and since Brad and I didn’t really have any interest in it we let Kade take all the kids to the movies! They had so much fun! They got popcorn and soda and laughed a lot. It was so weird having a quiet house for a little bit but I’m glad they all had so much fun together!

Kaderade
Kade has decided to run for student government for next year. He and his team have put up posters around the school and are working on a video to release to the student body next week. He’s going with a Gatorade theme because one of his friends nicknamed him Kaderade. It’s pretty clever and he’s done all the work on his own. It will be fun to see what happens next week.
Luke had a game tonight. It was so so cold. The wind cut through so bitterly. I ended up watching from the car with Kade. Brad and Ryder stuck it out with Luke and Brad would warm Luke’s hands while he was on the sidelines. He took a warm shower when we got home and then said, “Now I feel like myself again!” Haha. He had a long run for a touchdown again and grabbed a few flags!
Tenley missed the cold game because she was at volleyball practice.

Kade Playing the Organ
It feels like winter again which is so weird to say after the beautiful weather we had yesterday. The youth had a BYU Idaho fireside tonight and Kade was asked to play the opening song. He decided to play it on the organ! So we met at the church for an hour after school and I taught him the very basics and he played it so well for the youth group! I was so so proud of him. He’s excited to play the organ more often.

Easter Party
Kade drove himself to seminary, school, soccer practice, and a friends house today. It probably saved me over an hour of time not having to take him everywhere. But it was sad not to have all that time with him. He enjoyed it so much. He is busy but he’s having so much fun.
We had an Easter party at co op today. The kids love their co op friends! We also ate a lot of fun food from South Korea that my brother picked up for me. It was so much fun to try new things.

Three Drivers
Brad had meeting today like he usually does and I had meetings after church as well so Kade and I drove separately so he could leave right after church with the kids. It was so nice to have my meeting and not stress about them waiting. And they were so grateful to get home as fast as they could. Having a third drive is going to be amazing!

Big Hugs
I made the long drive back home today. It was strange driving all by myself. I listened to some audio books and also learned that eating sunflower seeds are a great way to stay awake!
When I made it home Luke and Ryder ran up and gave me the biggest hug and wouldn’t let go. It feels good to be loved and missed. I missed them so much! It’s good to have made it home safely.

Time With My Parents
I took the early flight to Salt Lake this morning and arrived at 6:40 am! I came to buy a car for Kade. He needs it with his busy schedule. I’m sure he’ll love having so much more independence.
Even though buying a car was the purpose of my trip, it’s been so nice to have some time with my parents. My mom and I went to the temple this morning for a session which was so nice. And then my dad drove me to get a car. I actually bought the first one we looked at it. It has some hail damage which should make it a good kid car I suppose!
I also got to see my sister and brothers and their families. It was such a sunny and warm day here as well. It’s been so nice to be in Utah and the my family.
Brad was busy with the kids at home. Kade had a lot of festival concerts to be too and Brad drove him around for that. He also made the kids waffles for breakfast and took them out to dinner! They were spoiled!

Origami
Ryder has always loved making paper airplanes and lately he has started making animals out of origami. He’s gotten really good at it! Luke has requested all sorts of creations from him and they have them displayed in their room.

Touchdown
Ryder and Luke had their first flag football games today! It was windy and a little cold but the boys had so much fun. Luke got a handoff and ran it all the way in for a touchdown! It was so awesome.
Ryder was able to play quarterback for a bit and had some great passes. And in defense he almost intercepted it. He played hard.

Gators
Luke has loved the Florida Gators team for a few years now mainly because he loves alligators haha. When we were all rooting for Houston to win the basketball game last night, he was rooting for Florida. And he was so happy that they won. We made sure to wear blue, orange and green today to celebrate!

Practice
We had another beautiful day today! I love the warmth and sunshine. It was a busy evening with Tenley’s volleyball practice and Ryder and Luke’s flag football practice all at the same time and all at different locations around town. Luckily Brad was able to help me out and since Luke’s practice was longer than Ryder’s, Ryder and I got to hang out on the grass and watch Luke play. It was definitely the best part of the day.
