This evening I got to go back to the church to learn more about the organ with some friends. I really miss the organ! And it was fun to learn a little bit more.

The Organ
It felt like a busy Sunday but we still got naps in so that was nice. I spoke in church this morning about missionary work. The kids did well sitting on the bench all by themselves. Sometimes they’re the best! The second hour of church was all about missionary work as well and it was a good meeting.

Stanton Lake
We explored a new hike and lake today in search of huckleberries. It was very pretty, there were several huckleberries and also a lot of ties and mosquitoes! But we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and swimming in the refreshing lake. After our hike we had dinner by Flathead River on our way home. It worked out to be a really nice day!

Cliff Jumping
We took Dan out to kayak the Missouri River today. It was a pretty adventurous day! We went 15 miles which is the longest float we’ve done so far and the kids had fun jumping off cliffs again. And then we got caught in a crazy rain storm! Ryder even caught some hail. The lightning didn’t get too close but the thunder sounded so loud in the canyon. My poor little boys were feeezing. Luckily it wasn’t too windy but we did all feel cold. Prayers and primary songs helped the boys and Luke even fell asleep after I covered him with my life jacket. It lasted about a half an hour and then the sun slowly peeked it’s way out again. The double kayak that the boys and I use has a slow leak in the bottom so we were worried about making it all the way, but luckily we did! We made some good memories!

Haircuts
Tenley and I got to get our haircut together today. It was a fun afternoon out with her! She cut five inches off! She’s always so adventurous with her hair.
Ryder had his last soccer game tonight. He played well! He was a great defender and even scored a goal! I will miss watching the kids play but I’m also looking forward to the free nights.

Bunk beds
Ryder and Luke have been sleeping in bunk beds for a while now and although Luke has been enjoying it, Ryder hated climbing up and down the ladder each night. Their room is small but we took the bunk beds down and made two twin beds work in their room. They’re both really excited about it! Hopefully they keep it this way for a while!

Teammates
Kade and Tenley had their last soccer game today. They all played so hard tonight! It was fun to see. Kade gave it his all and the man we sat next to called him the MVP even though he was there cheering for the other team. It’s always fun to watch. Tenley has improved so much and they had fun being on the same team.

More Visitors
We have a new visitor today! Danny arrived this afternoon for the week. The kids are excited to have more visitors. They helped me out with a yard project this morning. We still had rocks to move around the yard since we put in the new garden beds. All four of them were really helpful so I took them out for ice cream this afternoon. That made it all worth it to them!

Kade
Kade played a solo piano piece in Sacrament meeting today. He did so well and I was so proud of him! His dynamics were so beautiful and his sweet, tender spirit filled the room. He was so nervous last night and I talked a lot with him about overcoming fears, believing in yourself, and sharing your talents. I’m definitely no expert because I still get nervous every time I play in public, but I tried to share with him the things that I try and remember myself. He said that what helped him the most was knowing that if he didn’t do it then he would just be giving in to the fears that Satan is placing in his mind and he wasn’t going to let Satan win! I feel so lucky to have Kade!
George and Judy left after church to head back home. We enjoyed their visit! And then we spent the afternoon watching a movie. It was a good Sunday!

The Air Show
We went to the air show at the airport today and got to see the Thunderbirds! It was a lot of fun. The boys love airplanes and had fun seeing the military airplanes that they had there on the ground. And they really loved the Thunderbirds. It was hot and traffic made our 20 minute drive home 2 hours but all in all it was worth it.

The Gates of the Mountain
We got to go on a boat tour of the Gates of the Mountain today. It was hot but it was beautiful! And we saw a black bear which was pretty cool. After the tour we went to have a picnic at Holter Lake. The weather turned windy and cooler but the kids still wanted to swim. They’re so adventurous!
