Soccer Practice

It was a beautiful, sunny day! Luke and I enjoyed our new trampoline. And Kade had a really great soccer practice tonight. He got to stay a little late to get extra goalie practice in. He had some great saves! It was so much fun to see!

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day. Brad made a hot breakfast for us again and we had an easy morning. I got some more flower pots planted. It’s really nice to have flowers in our yard. And then Kade planned our family night. We had pizza and watched a movie. Yesterday we spent time reading the obituaries of family members of ours that have passed away. That was really nice for Brad and I to remember and to share with the kids things about those we love that aren’t with us anymore. It’s been a really great weekend.

Long Weekends

Our Mother’s Day tradition since we’ve lived here has been to go out to the island at Ryan Dam. Since we were gone on Mother’s Day, we finally made up for it today. It was cloudy and a bit rainy, but it was still beautiful and we still enjoyed it! I’m glad we finally went. We had a relaxing evening together watching “Homeward Bound” and eating Brad’s popcorn. It’s so nice that he doesn’t have to work tomorrow and that the kids don’t have school! It’s been a nice long weekend.

Bike Rides, The Garden, Bon Fires

We had a nice free Saturday at home today! Brad made us sourdough waffles and we ventured out for a bike rode this morning. It was beautiful and Ryder rode the whole nine miles with us!

Brad finished planting the garden today! The kids were helpful and we’re excited to eat the delicious fruits and vegetables.

Kade got invited to head over to his friends house tonight for a huge bon fire. He had a blast!

The Wax Museum

Tenley 4th grade class had their wax museum today. They all did such a great job! Tenley was Sacajawea. She looked so cute and had her speech memorized. I was so proud of her!

I had a fun day with Brad. We took the little boys for a walk (Ryder stayed home with us. He had a cough all night but seems just fine). We purchased some flowers to plant and we went out to dinner tonight. I also planted some flower pots. I love seeing our yard green up and our trees bloom. It’s so pretty!

Warm Days

It was such a beautiful day today! I got a lot of yard work done this morning. Then I got to join Brad’s office in getting trained to do CPR. Luke thought the mannequins were very interesting 😆. The kids played outside a lot with their friends. I wish I would have taken more pictures because it was so beautiful! I love Montana on these warm days!

Sunset

MommThis evening the kids were all jumping on the trampoline in the beautiful weather with the beautiful sunset and I had a quiet house to play my favorite songs on the piano in. It’s been a busy day and I hadn’t had any quiet moments so it was so nice! 

I spent the morning trying to get the garden beds filled up. They’re almost there! Hopefully I can finish up tomorrow.

Kade’s Spring Program, Brad

We enjoyed the beautiful weather at the park with friends this morning until I got a call from the school nurse telling me that Ryder had fallen and chipped his  tooth. His permanent tooth 😔. He was OK but I went and picked him up. Brad saw him tonight and got it all fixed up with some filling material. Ryder did a great job in the chair. He was nervous and asked me a ton of questions on the way. I had told him that when I was in elementary school I also chipped my two front teeth and had to get them fixed. He assumed I remembered the process and if it hurt or not. He’s such an inquisitive little guy! He is happy to have it fixed!

Kade had his Spring program at school today. He played the violin with the little orchestra and sang with the choir. He even did a little boxing at the beginning before they sang ‘Eye of the Tiger’. I can’t believe it was his last elementary school program! He also received Presidential honor roll award for keeping his gpa above 3.5 since 4th grade.

My Buddy Luke

Luke’s cough has been really bad lately. I guess the cough itself doesn’t sound horrible but he coughs about every twenty seconds unless he’s sleeping. I feel so bad for him. This morning after some medicine he seemed to perk up though and was such a fun little buddy. We went for a walk and instead of coughing the whole time he was talking my ear off about the birds and the flowers and the houses. It was so much fun. I loved hanging out with him today and I was so happy to see him feeling better.

Duets

The three oldest had their end of the year piano recital today. They did so well! I really loved watching Kade and Ryder play a duet for the Imperial March. Kade also played my favorite song from “Up” and Tenley played ‘Hotel California’. It was a really fun recital!

New Trampolines

Brad bought the kids a new trampoline a few weeks ago and it finally arrived this week. He and Kade were away at soccer games all day but when he got home he took the time to put up the trampoline. The kids only got a few minutes to play tonight, but they really seem to love it so far! 

Yard Work

It turned cold today! Brad and Kade had a fishing trip planned that they had to cancel because of the weather. So instead, Kade went to school with the other kids and Brad and I worked in the yard. We cleared some space for some more garden boxes. Shoveling those rocks brings back a lot of memories from when we moved them all back there. It’s hard work but it didn’t take too long. 

Tenley and Ryder got to go to a birthday party tonight and they had a blast. Especially Tenley who got to hole their sweet little boy. It was a good day.

Memories

I’ve had an off week for some reason. But looking back at pictures of good memories always helps. Today I loved looking at the pictures from our Disney World trip! It was so much fun!

Ice Cream Sundaes

On mutual night with Kade and Brad gone we try and make it as fun as possible here at home. Tonight we watched Peter Pan and Tenley made delicious ice cream sundaes!
