Memorial Day
We really enjoyed the day with family today. We went to my aunt and grandparents graves and shared good memories of them. I learned new things! It was entertaining. We spent all day together and the kids had fun running around. We picked up dinner tonight and headed to the park to enjoy the nice evening.

Sunday Walks
I got to go to church with my parents this morning which was really nice. Luckily most of the kids slept in which they really needed. And Luke got another nap on top of that!
We got to see Jason’s brand new house this afternoon and then Brad, Kade, Tenley, Ryder and I went for a little walk along the Jordan River trail. It was really pretty. But it was also really hot and Tenley and Ryder didn’t want to finish so we found a shady spot in some beautiful grass and waited for Brad and Kade to come pick us back up.
My mom made us a delicious dinner, my dad made us some delicious cookies and we got to watch The Chosen. It was a pretty perfect Sunday!

Weddings
We were able to go to Nate and Aubrey’s wedding today at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was one of the first weddings there that they opened up to more than just ten people. It was so nice to be there in the temple with them! And we enjoyed seeing many of the Hobson family.
After the temple we went to a luncheon to spend more time with everyone. After Nate and Aubrey left we got changed and met the Hobson crew at a park to play games. We played volleyball amd it was so much fun. I love playing volleyball.
As the sun was setting Chad had the crazy idea to go pick up some street tacos for dinner in Salt Lake. It made for a late night but we made some fun memories!

My Parents House
It’s always the best feeling to pull into my parents house especially after a long drive and especially when we get to walk in to a delicious home cooked meal. They spoiled us today. The drive here was long but the kids did well and we made great time. We’re excited to be here and have so much time with family!

Field Day
We spent the morning at the park for some homeschool field day fun. It was a gorgeous day and it was so good to be out with our friends!
I got some of Ryder’s baseball pictures back and he is one cute little man!
We also got to see Kade play baseball tonight. He got two hits! His first hits all season. We were soo happy for him!!!

Kites
The kids got another Kiwi Co box today. They love them! Kade’s was probably too easy for him but he did get a math book that he’s been having fun reading. Tenley loved her art project and Ryder’s was all about things that fly. We made airplanes, helicopters and a kite! Luckily there were enough materials to make two of everything so Luke got to join the fun as well! It was great.
While Kade was at his ninja class today, I had a zoom meeting. So, Tenley had to take care of the two little boys downstairs. Somehow she got Luke to sleep! She is amazing.
Today started out kind of stressful for me, but it ended so much better. The kids were cute and fun and I was able to talk to my Dad about some things that are weighing me down. I don’t care how old you are, sometimes it just helps to talk to your Dad!

Family Baseball
The weather was nice enough today for Kade to have a baseball game! We were excited to go but the ump ended the game an hour earlier than normal. I’m still not really sure why. But instead of going home early we found an open field and played together. It was a lot of fun and the kids got some great hits.

Sweet Sisters
It was a windy day today! So windy. We tried to go for a walk this afternoon and it was just laughable how hard it was to walk in the wind. I thought for sure Ryder’s game would be canceled tonight due to the wind but it was actually canceled due to wet fields. Ryder had got all dressed up in his uniform and right when he was ready I got the message about the game being canceled. Ryder was really sad. He loves playing. Tenley saw his sad face and quickly suggested they go out to play catch together. It was so sweet!

My Three Little Singers
Kade, Tenley, and Ryder sang ‘I Love to See the Temple’ in sacrament meeting today. It was adorable. I played for them but I wish I could have seen their sweet faces sing. Lucking since we zoom out meeting my parents and Brad’s dad and Judy were also able to watch.
A sweet, sweet lady brought us the most delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies afterward to thank the kids for singing. It was so sweet.

Heart and Soul
We have a Jon Schmidt sheet music book that I’ve had since I was in high school. Kade and Tenley love to learn new songs from it and today I heard Tenley playing one part of heart and soul. I added it in the upper hand part and they had no idea it was a duet. Now Tenley knows both parts and she loves to play it with Kade. They’ve gotten pretty good at their synchronization and Tenley even adds her own little flair. I love seeing them discover new things on the piano al on their own. They’re drawn to the keys when their bored and that makes me happy. Even Ryder jumps on to play when nothing else is going on.
The snow melted today which made me happy. It meant the boys got to get out a pitching net Brad bought for them so they can work on pitching. Tenley can even use it for volleyball. It’s pretty fun!
