Kids Meal Prizes, Football Games

We had a relaxing morning at the cabin. The kids had fun riding around in the razor with Grandpa and helping to cut down some trees.
In the car on the way to Pocatello they finally opened their kids meal prize from Wendy's and that kept them entertained for a while. It was the best kids prize I've seen!
We made it to Pocatello in time to meet Calli and her kids at Red Robin and then headed over to the game. The game didn't go so well for Travis' team, but we were still glad to be here to watch it and to play on the field afterward!

Cascade

We are headed to Pocatello this weekend to see my brother in law's high school football team that he coaches play. We're really excited for the game and to be with family! The drive would have taken us all day, but luckily Brad's Dad invited us to stay at their cabin for the night. It's the perfect half way point! The kids did great on the drive, but their power naps in the car have given them a second wind. It took us over 30 minutes to figure out sleeping arrangements! But we're all cozy in the cabin together now and I'm hoping we sleep in. :)

Tenley

It's been fun to see what Tenley is like without her big brother around. Normally when Kade is here and they're bored they're begging me for something to do or to be able to watch T.V. But when Tenley's here by herself she is quiet as a mouse. She's just such a sweetheart! It really makes me love having a girl in the middle of my rambunctious boys.
Usually I find her coloring or reading a book, but today I saw her sitting at the piano writings words that she saw on the keyboard. How much cuter could she get!

The Blog Book

Lately whenever Tenley has been bored, she's been opening up my blog book that Brad printed for me for Christmas and looking at the pictures. She'll constantly point something out and say, "Mom! Remember when..."
absolutely love it! I want the kids to remember all the good and happy things about our lives so I'm so glad that she takes the time to look at it!

Kade and Tenley drew pictures for their friends in Indianapolis today and Ryder decided to join in on the fun! It's usually pretty adorable to see him try and do big kid things, except when he tries to walk down the stairs like them and falls flat on his face. That just makes me sad.

Siblings

It was Tenley's night tonight and she taught a great lesson on being a good example to each other as siblings because often the younger sibling looks up to the older one and mimicks them. They all do a pretty great job of being good examples to each other already and I feel pretty lucky to be their mom!

Motorcycle Rides

Uncle Kent got a pretty sweet new motorcycle and he was nice enough to take Kade and Tenley on little rides around the yard this afternoon. They both loved it! Kade thought it was pretty cool to pop a wheelie.
Even though Ryder loves to play with toy motorcycles, he was too scared to even sit on the bike with Kent. I'm sure he'll warm up to it as he gets older.

President Uchtdorf

Today was a busy, busy day! Kade had a soccer game this morning and he did a great job! He almost had a breakaway goal but then he got trampled by a few othe kids that caught up to him. He got right back up though and kept playing! I'm proud of him.
This afternoon Kade and I were able to have some one on one time for a little bit. I took him to the bowling alley for a birthday party and then he came with me to a baptism at the church. He's such a sweetheart and I enjoyed having some time with just him.
We came home and I just had an hour with the family before heading back up to the church again for the church General Women's Meeting broadcast. I'm so glad I went though. All of the talks really inspired me! And I probably say this every year, but President Uchtdorf is one of my favorite speakers. I loved his talk so much!

The County Fair

The fair is going on this weekend here in town. Kade was able to go yesterday with his school class and we went as a family today with Heidi and Emmett. We splurged a bit and bought the kids carnival wrist bands so they could ride all the rides as many times as they wanted. Kade and Tenley were pretty excited about it! They went on a lot of rides together and had a lot of fun.
Tenley also really enjoyed seeing the animals. Kade was excited to show us a giant turkey that he had seen yesterday and Tenley loved the bunnies. Ryder was a bit nervous to be so close to cows and sheep, but I think he still enjoyed it.

Kade's art from school.

Letters From Friends

Tenley likes to walk with me to check the mail after lunch everyday and today she noticed a letter addressed to her! She was so excited to open it. Some of her sweet friends from Indiana colored some pictures and sent them to her. It was so sweet. Kade got one from his friend as well! We really miss our Indiana friends!

Cool Weather

The weather was beautiful today! We really enjoyed being outside. Tenley and I jumped on the tramp this morning, saw some trees changing color in the parking lot at TJ Max, enjoyed listening to Kade read us books in the afternoon while Ryder ate dirt, and had fun watching Kade at soccer practice. Tenley even made snow angels in the dirt with a new friend she made. Sometimes she's not as girly as I used to think she was!

Calm and Cuddly Kids

Since Ryder hasn't been feeling himself, he's been a lot more easy going and cuddly. Although I miss his energetic curious self, it's nice to have him cuddle so much for a change. He was willing to just sit in the cart at the grocery store and he didn't mind a lot of cuddles from Kade and Tenley. Both nice things, but I still really hope he starts feeling better soon!
