Halloween

Halloween was a blast. We went trick or treating downtown at the pumpkin palooza. It was crowded but there were fun activites for the kids. Tenley liked watching the dancers and Kade had fun watching the pumpkin bowling. Then we went to the ward trunk or treat at the church and afterward we trick or treated in our neighborhood for a little bit. It was raining and we got soaked but we still had a lot of fun!

Pumpkins

Kade had a super fun Halloween party at school today. They played games, ate lots of treats, and got to parade around school in their costumes. Kade won a big pumpkin at school today as well!

Arts and Crafts

We picked up a fun little art project at Joanns today and it kept the kids quiet and busy the whole time I made dinner. It was great!

Family Night

The Simmons joined us for family night tonight. We had pizza and carved pumpkins and Kade gave us a great lesson on helping others because when we're helping we're happy!

Red Ribbon Week

This week at school is red ribbon week so every day Kade gets to dress up in some way. Today was mismatch Monday!

Primary Program

Today was the children's primary program at church. The kids were so excited and had both memorized their parts. Tenley's was "All prophets are called by God." Kade's line was "Through the atonement of Jesus Christ all mankind may be saved." They both did a wonderful job! I played the piano for them which was neat. I was sad I that I wasn't able to watch the program, but I loved sitting at the piano, playing the beautiful songs, and being surrounded by such beautiful singing voices. It was truly uplifting and inspiring. I'm so grateful for my sweet children and the example they are to me of kindness. They love everyone no matter what, they don't judge, and they are so quick to forgive.

Sleepover Parties

Brad went on a scout campout tonight so the kids and I had a fund sleepover party! We stayed up late, watched a movie, and they slept in my room with me. It was a blast!

Spooks

Last night some friends from church doorbell ditched us and left a big spooky pumpkin on our doorstep. The kids thought it was awesome and wanted to pay it forward to someone else. So tonight we made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and snuck up to Kade's friends Tanner's door, rung the doorbell, and ran! Listening to Tenley's giggle as we ran down the street made it so worth it! I'm so lucky to have such great kids!

The Pumpkin Patch

Tenley, Ryder and I got to join Kade's field trip to the pumpkin patch today. It was a beautiful fall day and we enjoyed being able to go with him!

Costco

The kids and I always have fun on our trips to Costco. These huge stuffed Teddy Bears had them laughing so hard! They couldn't believe how big they were!

Cousins

We had a nice relaxing Sunday playing with lots of cousins, doing science experiments, eating yummy food, and celebrating Tenley's birthday AGAIN! We were so grateful that we didn't have to leave right after church to drive home, but that we could stay and enjoy the whole day with family.

The Temple, Cafe Rio, Reeds Dairy

After watching Ty play football this morning Brad and I were able to go do sealings at the Temple in Rexburg. It was beautiful there and we really enjoyed it!
When we got back we all went to Cafe Rio, one of my favorite places to eat! I'm so glad there is one in Idaho even though it is really far away from us.
Another one of my favorite things to get in Idaho Falls is ice cream from Reeds Dairy. Brad and I both  really love the Peanut Butter Trails flavor, but when we went they didn't have any. The manager went and checked in the back for more and they had a huge two gallon tub, but he refused to open it and said that if we wanted it we'd have to buy the whole thing. Chad decided to buy it all! And we've been eating some every night. It's delicious!
We're so grateful to be close enough to family to make these fun weekend trips! It has been a blast!

Cousins, Football Games, Late Night Snacks

We had such a fun day with cousins! Brad was gone this morning at an Insurance meeting so the kids hung out while Lesa and I went for a run. It was so nice to run with someone instead of going by myself! After a little shopping we headed down to Pocatello to watch my brother-in-laws high school team play football. The game was indoor at the Holt arena. Brad and his brothers were able to be on the sideline with the team. We loved watching the game and they won! We got home late, but we were all a little hungry so we had a late night snack. Such a great day!
Kade loves his cousin Ty so much! He wants to follow him around constantly and wishes we were neighbors :)

Road Trips

We drove all the way to Idaho Falls today which is about a 9 hour drive. Luckily we had beautiful scenery all along the way! I really love driving along the Lochsa river and through Montana. I miss the mountains so much and was dying to stop for the day by the river and camp, but we'll have to do that another time. We enjoyed a little break to throw rocks in the river which was nice. The kids did an amazing job on the long car ride. No fighting or crying! It was great!
Ryder's new 'super cheese' smile.

Birthday Presents

Tenley wore her new boots, new clothes, and carried her new backpack and new baby doll around all day today! She was so happy. She named her baby Elevenly, a name my brother-in-law Jeff has always teased we should name our next little girl. Tenley loves the name!

Birthday Girl!

Tenley turned 4 today! I can't believe how quickly she has grown up! I love my sweet Tenley miss. She is a sweetheart, but has a wild and adventurous side to her as well. She got a cute baby doll from her aunt Heidi and she named here Elevenly (thanks to Uncle Jeff for the name!) and she takes care of her like a real baby. It is adorable. She is such a nurturer. She also got a tea party set from her big brother Kade which she has also been playing with non-stop. And a grocery cart from Grandma and Grandpa Woodruff that ties all the gifts in so well. She's happy to finally be getting some fun girl toys!
