Boxes, Smiley Faces, The Park With Friends

We got some nice boxes to help with our upcoming move and the kids have loved playing with them. Kade and Tenley have such a great friendship and it's fun to see the games they like to make up and play together!

While Kade and I do his reading lesson, Tenley likes to doodle on her whiteboard. She loves drawing and coloring. Today I noticed that she learned how to draw smiley faces! I loved watching her practice it over and over and over again. She did a great job!

Today was a beautiful spring day and we got to enjoy it at the park with friends! After playing baseball, eating lunch, and playing on the playground, the kids and I went for a little hike. I love hiking with my kids! They love looking at everything in nature and it's so nice to enjoy the quiet peaceful outdoors with them.

Easter Clothes

I'm getting so excited for this weekend. Not only will it be Easter Sunday, but it will also be General Conference when we'll be able to listen to the leaders of our church. I love being able to snuggle with my family on the couch and be inspired and rejuvenated by listening to our beloved Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and the apostles of our church. I'm so looking forward to it!

Family

I really enjoyed the General Women's Session of conference on Saturday! I was able to go out to dinner with some friends before hand and then went to our church building to watch the broadcast after that. It was a great night out and the messages from our church leaders were so inspiring!

20 years ago they came out with the document The Family: A Proclamation to the World. What an inspired document it is! I'm so grateful for my family and my role as a wife and mother. I'm also grateful for my role as a sister, daughter, neighbor, and friend. I learned how important it is to look after the people we know and love them and to try and help strengthen them through their own personal trials. I love the gospel and I love being a member of Relief Society!

My kids, The Hirschis, Tucanos

Today I got my kids dressed up cute because I knew we'd be heading out for lunch with Brad and I had to take a picture of them. They looked so cute altogether! I'm so grateful for them and that I get to be their mom! Being a stay at home Mom is the best job I could ask for. I love it so much. I love teaching them, playing with them, and even grocery shopping with them. They give my life extra spunk!

Today, Brad left school early which he's actually been able to do a lot lately. This has been the best semester of Dental school by far! He has so much free time and hardly any stress. We are really enjoying all the family time! Life is pretty great right now!

Anyway, Brad came home early today so we could go out to eat at Tucanos with our great friends the Hirschis. Ryan and Brad are in the same class in school and they both have March birthdays so they both got a free meal at Tucanos! It was delicious and so much fun to celebrate birthdays, passing boards, and being done with dental school with friends. I can't believe it's all coming to an end!

Legos

Brad got to stay home with us today and since it was so rainy outside we played with a lot of Legos. This is a fraction of the Lego collection we got from Brad's parents house. We can't wait to play with the rest when we move out west!

Basketball, Spring

We've had a ton of fun watching March Madness this week! We were excited to see Brad play church basketball today and since the weather was so nice we went and played at a park afterward. I love Saturdays!

Giggles!

Brad is so good at getting Ryder to smile and giggle! I was glad I caught it on camera today!

I've been trying to capture Ryder's sweet smiles on camera and I think I finally got a good one! I love seeing him smile SO much! He is such a sweetheart.

Brad is the best Dad! I had to snap this picture today because how cute is he holding hands with our cute kids crossing the street! They love him so much and Tenley was so sad when we had to leave him at school and go home without him. 

Brad's Birthday

Today we got to celebrate Brad's birthday and even though it was his first day back to school after Spring Break, we still got to spend some of the morning with him. The weather was beautiful so we walked along the canal and had a picnic. 

The kids and I are so lucky to have Brad!

Time Out for Women

Time out for Women came to Indianapolis this year so my sister in law Kimber drove down from Chicago with her daughter Kara and we were able to go to it together. It was fun to be with them and we had such a great time at Time out! I was also able to see my other sister in law Hailey at the conference!

Traditions

Brad's mom had a tradition of making each new grandchild a blanket. My children still love the blanket that their Grandma Hobson made them. With Ryder being the first grandchild born after she passed away, he would have been the first one not to receive one of her traditional blankets. Luckily my awesome sister in law Kimber was thoughtful enough to make Ryder a blanket with some of the fabric from my mother in law. It was so sweet and meant so much to all of us.

Sunny, Warm Days

Hoping these warmer days are here to stay! It was really nice to enjoy it today!

Spring Break

We've been enjoying Brad's last Spring Break with a stay-cation. Today we explored the Children's Museum!
