Walks, Girl Talk, The Aquatic Center, 4-Wheeling

Heidi and I have been having a fun party with our kids while our husbands go off to work. We went for a walk in the morning together and had a chance for girl talk and later took the kids to the aquatic center. Kade loved following his cousin Dale around and Tenley and I enjoyed the "kitty cat" pool as she called it and the lazy river. Brad was nice enough to take them both around on the 4-wheel later as well. It was a great day!

Rental Cars, Road Trips

It's always fun to rent a car that's way bigger and nicer than your normal car! We're all enjoying the extra leg room and it's making the road trip to Idaho just a little more enjoyable.

The Hogel Zoo, Family

My parents were nice enough to take all of us to the zoo today. We had fun spending time together, seeing the animals, eating yummy food, enjoying an ice cream cone, and watching the cool bird show. Afterward Kade and Tenley got to swim with their cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

We love our family in Utah so much! We wish we had more time to be with them or that we lived closer, but we're so grateful for the fun nice weekend that we did have with them! Family is the best!

Mountains, Hiking, Cabins, Wildflowers, Having the Whole Family Together

Today we got to spend the whole day in the mountains enjoying the cool fresh mountain air. It was heaven! There's not much that I love more than being in the mountains. It was raining a little bit when we got to the cabin so we hung around and relaxed. The we went on a hike to Donut Falls, played horse shoes, and had a nice dinner when Tracie and her family made it up. It was the perfect day!

Cafe Rio, Aquariums, Swimming, Home

Being with my parents is always so fun and relaxing and they are so good at spoiling us! Swimming in the backyard in the nice humid-less air, lunch at my favorite restaurant, a trip to the cool new aquarium, the day off work for my Dad and brother, and lots of snacks and yummy treats in the house made for a great day! The kids have been loving being at Grandma and Grandpa's house and playing with them and all their cool toys. It's so nice to visit family!

Airplane Rides

We feel so grateful that we were able to fly home in three hours than to make a long 24 plus hour drive! The kids were great on the flight and enjoyed eating their snacks and drinks.

The Zoo, Safety

This afternoon the weather cooled off and although it looked like rain was inevitable we decided to go to the zoo for a little bit. We ended up hearing the tornado sirens three times and later heard from the zoo workers that a tornado touched down in Plainfield, IN and one was spotted not far from the zoo in Speedway. That concerned us a little bit, but the zoo workers assured us that they'd take us to safety if the situation became serious. So the kids kept playing like nothing was wrong and we enjoyed the nice cool weather and the sparse crowds at the zoo. We were never told to seek shelter and luckily survived the day. It was definitely the closest we've ever been to a tornado, but we are grateful that we were all safe.

I guess we've been in Indiana long enough to not let those tornado sirens scare us too much. :)

Days at the Lake

Our Bishop was nice enough to invite us out to his lake house for the day. We all had fun playing at the beach, going down fast slides, jumping off the diving board (both Kade and Tenley did it too!) Watching Brad do a back flip off the diving board, tubing, relaxing in the hot tub, and having fun with our great Bishop and his wife. It was a great kick off to our 2 week break with Brad!

This was Tenley's first ride on the tube. She absolutely loved it! I learned more than ever what a daredevil she is; going down big slides, jumping off the diving board without any coaxing. She has a lot of courage! This huge air she caught with Brad on the tube scared her a little bit, but it didn't keep her from tubing more!
