New Years Eve

Celebrating New Years Eve this year was fun, especially with the excitement of the kids. We pretended it was midnight at 8 pm so the kids could still get to bed at a decent time and luckily I don't think they caught on.
I'm excited for this new year of 2015! As Brad said, it is the year of great anticipation! The year he graduates from Dental School and starts a real job for the first time in our marriage. We are very excited for all the changes coming, especially for our new little boy to join us next month!

Fun Dates

My sister in law was nice enough to not only watch our kids for the evening but take them out to buy a new toy. They had so much fun with her and their cousins!
Brad and I enjoyed our date trying out a new restaurant, Buona Beef (wish they had it in Indy!) seeing a movie, and enjoying some delicious ice cream at Oberweiss creamery.

Family Home Evening Treasure Hunts

We traveled up to Chicago to be with family for the new year and have been having a blast.  The kids especially enjoyed a scripture treasure hunt tonight with donuts as the treasure!

Warm Days

Although the kids probably would have preferred a ton of snow today so they could try out their new sled, the weather was beautiful so we went for a walk and played at the park. It was nice to get out and enjoy the sun!

Christmas Day

Christmas day was a lot of fun! The kids luckily slept in until 8 and then saw their gifts from Santa. Then we enjoyed a nice big brunch and then opened up presents from each other. We played games, played with our new toys, watched a movie, and relaxed together. It was great!

Sugar Cookies, Christmas Eve, Christmas Feast

We kept ourselves really busy in the kitchen today! We made sugar cookies for Santa, Brad's family's traditional fruit cocktail, and a big turkey feast for dinner. It all turned out so delicious!
After dinner the kids opened their Christmas Eve pajamas and we drove around town looking at Christmas lights. It was a fun night!

After a busy week it was really nice to have a relaxing day at home playing dress-up, building tents, and watching Christmas movies.

Christmas in Indy, Zoo Lights

Brad found out about a movie theater showing Polar Express for free so we decided to go watch it. I thought it was pretty funny to see a cardboard sign with duct tape when we pulled up! But the theater was actually pretty nice and we all loved watching a Polar Express!
Tonight we saw the lights at the zoo! It was so pretty and we loved seeing the animals as well. Our zoo pass expires at the end of the month and we will definitely miss it!
We've had a fun week enjoying everything that Indy has to offer in Christmas. We've loved surprising the kids everyday with something new. Big cities are a lot of fun!

The Museum

We spent the afternoon at the museum so we could enjoy Jolly Days one more time this year. Racing down the slide never gets old.

Christmas Music

Today was such an amazing day. I was able to go Christmas caroling with some friends from church at a cancer center. It was so much fun to sing Christmas carols and even more amazing to see the big smiles from the cancer patients as we walked by their rooms singing. They are strong people and it was a privilege to sing to them.
Tonight we took the kids to a little Christmas concert. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed.
I love Christmas music so much. It really helps bring the spirit of Christmas into our lives.

The Park

Brad has a lot of time off from school this week so our schedule is quickly fillng up with fun things! Today we spent the afternoon at an indoor playground at a Christian church up north. Brad and I got a great workout playing tag with the kids in the play area. We all had a blast and the kids were so worn out that they fell asleep on the way home.
